Full Job Description

GDM is an award-winning Architecture and Engineering firm with locations in Oregon, Washington, New Mexico and Alaska. We are looking for a CAD Drafter to join our team. This self-motivated individual will work with all levels of management and staff to maintain CAD software standards and provide drafting support in AutoCAD and Revit for complex architectural and engineering projects.

Daily Duties/Tasks

  • Setting up project base files
  • Provide CAD drafting design support
  • Coordinate and manage CAD and Revit standards
  • Create Revit families and CAD blocks
  • Review all work for completeness and accuracy
  • Complete printing and plotting requests
  • Coordinate file exchange and archiving of milestone submittals
  • Create project record drawings

Primary Responsibilities

  • CAD drafting and management
  • Understanding of Revit and AutoCAD
  • Managing CAD standards for a design team and the firm
  • Resolve complex CAD based issues that may arise in design
  • Reviewing drawing sets for company standards compliance
  • Training design and delivery for managers to adopt to CAD standards
  • Stay informed of evolving standards and software innovations.

Experience

  • A.A.S. in Architectural and Engineering Technology (AET) (Preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience with A/E system design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering design software
  • Relevant degree and/or trade school certification
